Navigation

At the top of each visualization, is a set of tabs which allow you to navigate to other visualizations:

Underneath each vizualizatiuon there are various action buttons. “Undo” will remove the last applied filter. “Reset” will remove all filters. “Download” exports all acids and bases that apply to the current filters.

Filters

To apply filters, modifing the Acids/Bases that Appear on the tool’s graph, click Filter Summary.

Acid-Base List

The Acid-Base list shows all of the acids and bases that meet all filters which have been applied.

There are 101 materials present in the current version of the tool. Note that some materials are present on the Acid-Base list but are not seen on the graph because of their lack of MeCN pKa data.

To see the full unfiltered list of acids and bases, use the reset button at the bottom of the screen.

Filter Summary

This visualization contains all possible filter selections in the tool. This is a useful place to start when you have multiple filters to apply.

Filtering Example

Applying filters is useful to find Acids or Bases that meet required conditions. The user may wish to find amine bases, or avoid halogenated materials.

Note that all filters default to the “All” status, meaning that every condition is applied.

To apply fitlers, first decide the category to filter by. Click the drop-down for your filter of interest to reveal the options.

In the Acid-Base drop down, selecting “All” will show all Acids and Bases, selecting “Acid” will only show acids, and selecting “Base” will only show bases.

In the Amine drop down within the functional group category, selecting “All” will show materials with or without amines, selecting “N” will show only materials without amines, and selecting “Y” will show only materials with amines.

Filters of any category can be combined.
