20th Anniversary Year

In 2025, the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable celebrated 20 years of partnership between global pharmaceutical companies and the ACS Green Chemistry Institute. From modest beginnings, the Roundtable has grown to 53 member companies, aligned by a shared commitment to drive sustainability in the manufacture of medicines and beyond.

In honor of the 20th anniversary, the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable (GCIPR) held a series of special events, expanding our outreach to over 4,000 stakeholders in 2025 across different regions of the globe. Download the full annual report to see how GCIPR made an impact in 2025.

2025 Highlights

The ACS GCIPR held 15 symposia, workshops, and webinars combined in 2025.

We reached a total of 4,912 stakeholders located in 45 countries across these events.

Through our Grants Program, we distributed $480,000 in research grants in 2025.

The Roundtable published 5 journal publications in ACS journals in 2025. In addition, we celebrated the 20th anniversary with an article published in Chemistry Today and a Chemistry & Engineering News article.

We honored 5 companies through our Awards Program in 2025, including the inaugural Discovery Chemistry Award.
